Hello! My name is Amanda and I already love your pets. 

I currently live in Mortsel with my boyfriend and our two cats, Luke and Phoebe, that we adopted from a rescue agency. The cats previously lived with two dogs, so they are not afraid of them and tend to get along well with other animals.

Currently I am offering doggy daycare and home visits. I'm only accepting one dog at a time. For home visits I'm willing to take care of multiple animals. I can also check the mail, put away trash cans, and water any plants. 

I am not available on weekends at this time. During the week I stay at home everyday, all day, so your pets will never be alone. I'm available for home visits throughout the day and even into the evening. Depending on the pet parent instructions, I can provide food and water throughout the day, as well as plenty of outside time.

Our home has a medium sized fenced back garden, almost surrounded by bushes so there is privacy. It is located in a residential area, so it is very quiet and calm for the most part. There is a field and walking area within five minutes walk from our house.

We have the ability to close off our kitchen, which we do when we are not in there. So no pets will be unsupervised in the kitchen. We have three levels, each with a hallway. In the summer, the tiles on the bottom floor are nice and cool (our cats often like to lay there). 

I have had pets my entire life and love being around all kinds of animals. Throughout my life I've had three dogs, six cats (including Luke and Phoebe), two bunnies, and mulitple guinea pigs. In additon, I've also lived with roommates that had pets I helped take care of (both cats and dogs). 

In the past I've often been the trusted pet sitter for friends and neighbors. I would take care of their pets for a weekend only or sometimes a full week. This included house visits (sometimes multiple times a day depending on the pet) where I would refill food and/or give wet food for cats, refill water, clean up any messes or litterboxes, keep the pet company, and go for walks and/or play in the garden. I follow the instructions left by the pet parent. 

Between my own pets and other's pets, I have experience with all kinds of dogs from pomeranians to German shepards, as well as fish and repitles, and, of couse, cats. 

I've decided to become a pet sitter to be able to use my skillset of getting along with all kinds of animals. To be completely honest, I much prefer spending my day with animals over people. I find animals tend to calm my social anxiety and, in exchange, I can be there to help and take care of them. 

My pets are like my children and I treat them as such. I believe in respect for animals and treating them with the same care and attention as any other family member. I would be thrilled to help you give your pet the best care possible.
