Hello guys, my name is Joe. I am a professional dog trainer and dog walker (certified by the Veterinary Association of Germany). Recently I moved to Brussels with my wife. I live in Quartier du Châtelain, not far from Bois de la Cambre.

EXPERIENCE:

I grew up in the UK with 4 dogs and I adopted my current dog in 2016 in Berlin, where I have been working full time as a dog walker and trainer. I have tons of experience with all sorts of dogs - big, small, old dogs and puppies, as well as reactive, fearful, skittish, traumatized and dominant dogs.

In Berlin I was walking, running and cycling with my pack every day in the Grunewald Forest - Europe's largest off leash dog area. Most dogs came with behavioural issues which were remedied by socialising the dog in structured pack walks, as well as giving individual training to the owners. Sometimes we had 20+ dogs in our pack.

Thanks to this I've developed a deep understanding of dog behaviour and pack structure. I am aware that dogs have different characters and energy levels, and therefore need different training approaches. As leader of the pack, I give the dogs outlets to channel their energy in positive ways, whilst guiding them away from undesirable habits.

Many trainers do not understand why dogs behave like they do. They often use the same training method for every dog, which often involves 'distracting' the dog rather than identifying and treating the root of the problem.

My goal is to help you understand your dog better so you can bring harmony to your pack. I'll help you fulfill your dogs’ needs through exercise, trust, respect, love and assertive leadership, which all dogs need in order to live a balanced life. I also focus heavily on socialisation because, after all, dogs need dogs!
