Caring for Your Cat with Love and Joy 🐱
Leuven
Über Ezgi
I am a 33-year-old PhD student in law, living in Leuven since September 2021. My love for cats began when I was a kid, when we adopted a Van cat: an odd-eyed, white-coated, dapper gentleman named Pamuk—"Cotton" in Turkish (No denying we could have been more creative :D ) Getting to know Pamuk and sharing our life with him for a few years was a priceless experience. Those years with him have forever converted my family and me into passionate cat people.
Since moving to Leuven, I have been dying to adopt a cat. Unfortunately, I have to travel a lot, and even if I did not, my student accommodation does not accept pets. Due to these obstacles, there remains a big feline-shaped hole in my heart, which I have been trying to fill by catsitting for my friends whenever I can, for the past 3 years. Nowadays I am realising I need more quality time with those furry balls of joy in my life. Considering that it is not likely for me to adopt in the near future, at least until I finish my PhD, I decided to broaden my catsitting adventures by joining Pawshake as a petsitter.
I will be happy to visit your cat(s) up to two times a day (at least for 30 mins, can be longer as well), feed them at scheduled hours, take care of their litter boxes, as well as play and spend time with them. I have also experience with taking pets to the vet if needed, administering medication orally or cleaning up a messy, unpleasant surprise your cat may have left behind in response to your absence :). Depending on my schedule and the location, house-sitting may also be a possibility.
I am a highly responsible person and will follow your instructions meticulously. Moreover, after three years of catsitting for my friends, watching over and befriending different cats with a variety of personalities, I am confident in my ability to understand your pets' needs. I take great care in treating them with the respect and love they deserve. Their well-being and comfort comes first. Especially the cats are quite clear with their boundaries, which I respect above all. So, even if I am dying to shower them with hugs and pets and kisses, I curb my enthousiasm and let them become comfortable around me first and leave it to the cat to initiate the first contact. I also make sure to keep a calm and cosy environment whenever I am with them, to make them as comfortable as possible.
All in all, I look forward to getting to know your pets and taking good care of them <3
