Hello, fellow paw lovers! I am Sarah, a 30-year-old Italian woman who would love to take care of your fur babies, especially taking them out for a walk! My background: I used to live in a countryside house with a big garden, so I was lucky to always grow up with a dog by my side. Jack, Luna and Hope have so many qualities in common: they were loyal, funny, caring, could run for hours, all rescued and mixed German/Belgian Shepherd mixes with a love for digging, impressive hearing (especially for treats) and they all loved belly scratches! It’s my love for dogs that made me a dogsitter both in Italy (for a German Shepherd and a little Dachshund) and South Korea (a Doodle and Maltese). Plus, I would regularly take out my friends’ dogs for fun (Danny The Boy DeVito, a Shih Tzu, and Moxie, a small mixed-breed dog). As a dog sitter, I have 6+ years of experience, and thanks to that, I am used to different breeds of dogs. I can cater to both smaller friends and bigger ones by adjusting the walking pace, by proposing games to stimulate their intellect or just tire them out (for more energetic dogs). Or just staying home, in their safe space and not leaving them alone. Whatever you are catering to, I can help you! The walks: The walks are as long as you need them to be, and the intensity will also be adjusted. For these, I need to be provided with multiple waste pick-up bags to bring along and some wet wipes to clean the fur friend after the walk. At the end, I usually send a text to the owner to confirm everything went OK and I give a small treat to the dog for teamwork. I don’t go out for walks in extreme weather situations, like a heat wave or extremely cold days: safety comes first. For dogs that require energy-consuming activities, I also need a portable bowl so I can give them water when they calm down. If any of these things are not okay for you, please let me know! Extra info: I am available for walks from 7:30am to 8pm, as it’s getting darker earlier. I truly believe this is a collaboration between me and you, responsible adults, in order to care for our paw friends, so I ask you please to let me know any significant information about them: fears, past trauma, unusual behaviour, food allergies, etc., anything that could harm the health of the dog or our relationship.
