I’ve always enjoyed spending time with animals, and becoming a pet sitter felt like a natural extension of that. I grew up in a house full of animals — hamsters, birds, dogs and cats — and I was very involved in taking care of them from a young age.

I also spent three years in the UK taking care of my host family’s dog, including daily 1-hour walks, feeding, and making sure he felt comfortable and well looked after. This also meant handling the less glamorous parts of the job, giving him medication when needed and dealing with the occasional “unexpected” mess. This made me confident in managing day-to-day care with patience and a sense of humour.

I’m used to following instructions carefully, whether it’s specific diets, giving tablets when needed, or adapting to particular habits. I’m also comfortable with both energetic pets who need long walks and more relaxed or shy animals who just need company and reassurance.

I’m reliable, patient, and attentive, and I genuinely enjoy the time I spend with animals.
