Hi! I'm Ioana, a 26-year-old PhD student who moved to Ghent a year ago. Over the past year, I did a research internship, and this October I'm starting my PhD. At this point, my lifestyle doesn't (yet!) allow me to have a four-legged companion of my own, which is one of the reasons I'd love to petsit, as animals genuinely make my life better. I've grown up surrounded by cats at my parents' house, so I've learned that every cat has their own personality, quirks, and way of communicating. Since moving out, I've taken every chance I could to petsit my friends' cats, and I've really come to love being their temporary human. One of the most important things cats have taught me is that everyone has their own rhythm when it comes to opening up, so I enjoy getting to know them on their terms. I believe in respecting their boundaries, paying attention to their body language, and letting trust build naturally. For me, petsitting involves giving your pet company, playtime, affection (when they want it!), and a sense of normality while their humans are away. I'm also happy to follow your routines and instructions closely, because I know how important it is to feel that your pet is in safe and caring hands. I'm responsible, patient, and attentive, and I'd be very happy to get to know your furry companion, whether they're a social butterfly, a shy observer, or a cat who needs to make sure you're worthy of their trust first.
