About Me 🐾 Hi! I’m Vanesa, a Fine Arts student at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, with a lifelong passion for animals and years of hands-on experience caring for them. 🐕 My Experience & Skills I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, rabbits and many other animals. I have two German Shepherds of my own and practical experience with obedience training, socialisation and behavioural challenges, including separation anxiety and aggressive behaviour. I’ve also personally rescued and cared for dogs and cats in need. My experience comes from years of hands-on animal care rather than formal professional qualifications. I’m confident handling large, energetic dogs, smaller breeds, puppies, senior pets and animals requiring additional patience and attention. 🦮 My Services I offer dog walking, home visits, pet sitting and overnight stays at the owner’s home. My services include feeding, exercise, playtime, companionship, basic hygiene and following each pet’s individual routine. 🌳 Walks & Outdoor Activities My walks typically last 60–90 minutes, depending on the dog’s age, health, energy level and individual needs. I know suitable walking areas around Antwerp and adapt each walk to the dog’s personality, whether they prefer energetic adventures or peaceful exploration. 🏡 Care & Supervision I provide care at the owner’s home, allowing pets to remain comfortable in their familiar environment. I prefer caring for one household’s pets at a time to ensure individual attention and responsible supervision. I aim to minimise the time animals spend alone. Any necessary absences are always discussed with the owner beforehand. I carefully follow feeding schedules, exercise routines and any special instructions. 💊 Medication & Special Needs I have personal, hands-on experience administering oral medication, injections and prescribed treatments, particularly through caring for my own German Shepherds. Although I’m not a qualified veterinarian, I carefully follow veterinary instructions and only provide treatments within my experience and abilities. 📅 My Availability I’m generally available in the afternoons, evenings and on weekends, depending on my university schedule. I’m flexible and happy to arrange other times, longer visits or overnight stays individually. I’m sure we can find a suitable time that works for both of us! ❤️ Your Pet’s Comfort & Safety Every animal deserves patience, affection, understanding and responsible care. I respect each pet’s personality and boundaries, carefully follow owners’ instructions and provide regular photos and updates. I’m also happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before the first booking. For me, caring for animals isn’t just a job. It’s something I’ve loved my entire life. Your pet’s happiness, safety and wellbeing will always be my priority!
