Über Eva/Xiaoxiao
Hello, I'm Eva (Xiaoxiao). 🙆🏻♀️ I have graduated from university and settled in Belgium since 2017, previously lived in Brussels and Wallonia, then I moved to Antwerp. Now I live in a 100m2 apartment with fully fenced terrace. Barking could cause intense anxiety and complain from neighbours, so loud pets must take that into considerations. I don't have garden but living in front of Bisschoppenhof park. With the access to Hondenpark Alfons Schneiderlaan, Bremweide, Ertbrugg within 1km, 2.5km to Rivierenhof and Park Groot Schijn. Your pets will have plenty of outdoor time and can roam in any space at my home.
Animals hold a huge fascination for me and are a source of inspiration. I was born in a family with medical background and psychological knowledge. From a young age I knew I wanted to work with animals. I learned a lot about cannie behavioural psychology, volunteered in the S.P.A (shelter) and had a training session in dog salon for dog wash and grooming. That combined the fact that I'm a dog mom myself since childhood. After Covid, I started fostering and petsitting. Back to the time I lived in a big house with 500m2 garden, that way I hosted many large and energetic dogs over years without any accidents. So far, I have extensive experience with general bichon family, Havanese, Maltese, Bolognese, Tenerife, Poodle, Maltipoo, Shiba, Akita, Shikoku, Westie, Husky, Samoyed, Labrador, Schnauzer, Teckel, Pug, Chowchow, Shar Pei, Corgi, Golden Retriever, Pomeranian, Chihuahua, Yorkie, Shih Tzu, Jack Russell, Barbet, Malinois, Spaniel, Border collie, Pitbull and general terrier type. Worthy to mention, Chinese/Japanese dogs are the regional dogs of where I came from, I am highly familiar with characters and have been active on shiba/akita rescue.
❗️I work as a translator with an alternative work nature (start early and finish late, always standby, can't leave home for long time, never have a fixed routine). I would say work is busier at weekends and relatively free on Mondays to Thursdays. Please message me about your (dog) situation with a precise time so I can guide you to book the proper services:
1. Walking: I come to the owner to pick up the dogs and have a 30mins walk /dog park between 7am to 9pm. Only available in Deurne.
2. Home visit: Around 30mins for cat feeding, collecting mails and watering plants. If you are leaving for a long time, this is absolutely not a real solution, please use housesitting.
3. Daycare: 10 hours from 7am to 7pm. It will be counted as boarding on other time. I expect owner to pick up and drop off the pet to me. If the owner wants me to do it, the service will be charged extra depends on the distance.
4. Boarding: 24hours supervision with night time pet camera, including 1h walk+ feed + clean + behavioural correction, training tips.
5. Housesitting: Same as boarding but staying at your place. I expect it's a place with own parking or access by public transport. We hand over keys and exposure for camera ahead. In order to avoid misunderstandings, make a list with what I should do and where I can't step in.
6. Moreover, as a bird enthusiast, I have raised king parrot, budgie, quails, chicken, call duck, goose, cockatiel. They didn't move with me, but I already experienced from hatching to breed. Incubator care could also be a service.
For 3,4,5, the overtime will be charged for €5 (2hours) or €10 (5hours). At the end of the day, a general report will be provided with minimum 1 photo.
Food, walking equipment (harness, collar, leash, poop bag, boots, raincoat) and cleaning supplies are not included. This is the standardised, every dog has different allergies and diet. I offer small bench with basket, food bowls, various types of toys, intelligent games and sniffing pad.
❗️Cancellation policy: Full refund if you cancel by 12:00pm (noon) 7 days before the service begins. 50% refund for the cancelled days if cancelled after 12:00pm (noon) 7 days before the service begins. Once the service starts (before/on/after the day the service is due to) no flexibility or refund. ❗️Time is currency. Any change can have effects in life. I hope we can communicate timely and treat each other respectfully.
❗️Please note that passport/medical papers are necessary to bring if staying over the night. The additional costs are not included. Such as, vet, emergency, transportation, sudden death, extra food, dewormer, fees from service postponement/ extension due to your personal circumstances or force majeure, etc. In case of home damage or vet visit, the owner will receive a bill later.
For those dogs who are hyperactive, having separation anxiety (bring something with home smell.), allergies, behavioural issues, suffering from diseases and taking medication, I would like you to come for an introduction after pre-booking.
For senior dogs, I already experienced a few times with special care. It is important to know that there are 30 steps staircases at my home, I can carry your (under 25kg) dog upstairs. Diaper and other disability assistance device are required. Overall, I would suggest using housesitting.
For recurring clients or a regular booking over months, we can negotiate on a long-term plan.
A boarding test is also ideal and reasonable for new client who wanna book for weeks, especially when it's the first time for your dogs to go to a total stranger.
I live with a female shiba, typically shy, independent, stubborn, calm and selectively social (don’t get along with enthusiastic dogs who ruin her peace). She always stays on terrace alone. After a play date she can accept the new pack quickly. If necessary, it's an option to let her sleep at my in-laws. Stress free for small dog owners.🩷
I go hiking in Wallonia and chilling in Zeeland regularly, and often on our family ship. Your dogs can come along with your permission. Plus, my place has installed a pet camera, so don't worry about short leave (1h max). 24/7 supervision is forever a priority, I wish everyone can enjoy the stay. 🕊️
