Hello, Welcome to Crazy Cat Lady Petcare Services! I’m Kübra, I’m 39, and I’m based in Antwerp. I studied public administration and worked in corporate banking before making pet care my profession. For the past five years, pet sitting has been my full-time work and my sole occupation. Outside of work, I enjoy camping, diving, hiking, riding, bouldering, swimming, skiing, travelling, and meditating. This is an LGBTQ+ friendly profile. 🌈 As the name suggests, I’m passionate about cats. My connection with animals goes back more than 20 years. I grew up with birds, turtles, and a dog. When I lived in İzmir and Istanbul, I volunteered with stray animals, feeding them, helping them get treatment, and providing shelter. I’ve continued to support volunteers in Turkey with a portion of my earnings, and I’ve also helped find good homes for kittens in Belgium. Cats are my specialty. I keep learning about their behaviour and care through academic articles, videos by experts, and other resources. Working through Pawshake has given me experience with many breeds, personalities, and care needs. Cats have also taught me a lot about patience, resilience, mindfulness, and respecting boundaries. They’ve taught me to be present, to love unconditionally, and to find joy in simple moments. Through caring for Sonic and Zuzi, I discovered a sense of motherhood and reconnected with my inner child. Every animal has its own personality, and their behaviour can change when their people are away. My priority is to respect your cat’s space and routine and give them time to get used to me. I’m particularly good with shy cats. I pay attention to their body language and let them decide when they’re ready to approach. Sometimes building trust starts with sitting quietly in the same room. My visits typically last 40–45 minutes, and I can stay longer when needed. That gives me time to take care of feeding, litter, and any other instructions, as well as spend time with your cat at their own pace. I regularly send photos and videos so you can see how they’re doing. I can give oral medication and injections as directed and follow post-surgery care instructions. In an emergency, I can take your cat to the vet or arrange a home visit when available. I’ve cared for many sick and elderly cats over the years, including cats who needed palliative care. This work is personal to me, too. My late cat was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and went through major surgeries that required a sensitive care. I know how much attention recovery can take and how hard it can be to leave when your cat needs you. If you need to travel and your cat needs more company or supervision during illness or recovery, we can discuss whether care in my home would suit them. I’m also there for pet owners during the difficult parts of caring for an animal. If you’re looking after an ageing or seriously ill pet, preparing to say goodbye, or grieving after a loss, I’m happy to listen and stay in touch. I know how much a pet can be part of your family and how lonely that period can feel. I’m meticulous about cleanliness and follow your instructions for waste disposal and ventilation. For bookings longer than three days, I can run a robot vacuum or use a regular vacuum to keep your pet’s space clean. I can also look after your plants, whether that means watering them, giving them supplements, or tending to the garden. I prefer visiting cats in their own homes, where they have their familiar surroundings and routines. If your cat needs a visit at a specific time, for example for medication, I can plan around that. Otherwise, my usual summer visiting hours are between 11:00 and 20:00. For twice-daily bookings, I visit in the morning and evening. Besides cats, I’ve cared for turtles, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, chickens, roosters, and some exotic species.
